How to take a screenshot on Mac
There are a few devices that are more useful than screen capture, and it is very common on a smartphone to describe what we see with a single image. Well, at MacOS it is as simple as any smartphone, and the simple combination of keys on our keyboard will give you several types of screenshots. Windows keyboards have a print screen key that makes it even easier.
Doing this in MacOS is by no means difficult as capture requires an important integration, so if we spend a lot of time without using it, we can forget about it. There are many ways to make a screenshot in Makos, and each one can serve us according to the situation or need. In this article, we are going to show you what types are and how to make them.
The screenshot or Screenshot (SS) feature is now commonly found on various devices, including laptops made by Apple, and the Macbook. The screenshot function on this Macbook is actually the same as on a Windows laptop. Users can capture the display or image that appears on the Macbook screen. This SS feature serves to document images that cannot be taken with save or download options. The image, for example, is sourced from a video clip. Although functionally the same as on Windows laptops, Macbooks have a different way of taking SS. Macbooks using the macOS operating system, have a different command combination than Windows laptops when fetching SS. The SS way on a Macbook also doesn’t need to use third-party applications.

Then, you can also retrieve SS only on windows of open applications. For example, if you are opening the Safari browser, then with this SS option, you can retrieve the SS only on the view of the Safari browser you are currently open. To do this, press the key combination “Command” + “shift” + the number “4” + “space”. After you press the button, a camera-shaped pointer will appear that you can place in an open application window. Once you put your pointer in that window, click on the pointer to retrieve the SS. You can fetch SS in various application windows as long as the one is currently open.

We will use the key combination first, Shift + Command + 4 so our pointer becomes a cross. If we want to save it on the clipboard we will also use the control key in the command key.
Now we press the space bar so our pointer becomes a camera.
Now all the windows through which we pass the pointer will stand out in blue. This will indicate that the windows are part of your screenshot.
